26th Jan 2011 - Golden Wedding -"First class service in a first class establishment"

A wonderfull venue for our Golden Wedding celebration. 80 guests enjoyed superb service from staff who were invariably helpful and courteous. The catering was excellent and the surroundings were elegant and comfortable. Can't recomend too highly.

30 Dec 2010 Wedding - "Good taste... in every way!"

We got married at The Racquet Club in December 2010. The following is a copy of the letter we sent to the manager afterwards:

We just wanted to send a huge thank you to all the staff at The Racquet Club for giving us the most perfect wedding that we could have wished for on 30th December 2010. The venue itself was stunning - so many of our guests have commented on how amazing it was. One couple are already trying to convince their own son to choose it for his wedding! The sheer class of the venue was shown in the small details such as the embroidered napkins and antique candelabras - good taste seems to come as standard at The Racquet Club.

The setting for our ceremony was breathtaking - it exceeded our already high expectations - with a subtle Christmas feel, twinkling fairy lights and candles everywhere. During dinner, the food was served hot and tasted fantastic and the staff were very attentive and professional. Even the quirky bedrooms and tasty breakfast the next morning added to our overall experience.

However, our biggest thanks must be reserved for Rob. From our first contact with him until he left at the end of the evening, Rob has simply been amazing. Every email he answered promptly and professionally and all of his recommendations were perfect. Throughout the whole process - the planning and the day itself - Rob was there at the forefront keeping everything running smoothly. As the bride, I in particular felt much more at ease with Rob there keeping me calm! We can't imagine how exhausting it must be ensuring the bride and groom's ‘perfect day' goes perfectly, but Rob really did this and more. His organisational skills are second to none! My Dad has commented many times on how great Rob is and I think my husband remembered to mention him in his speech!

We'll be recommending The Racquet Club (and Rob) to anyone who will listen and look forward to enjoying dinner there in the future. Thank you so much!

29th Dec 2010 Wedding - "THE best hotel in Liverpool. Service second to none, especially for weddings"

Let's not beat around the bush here this really is THE best hotel in Liverpool. Plus I challenge you to find better customer service from all staff at any hotel in the North West!

The Racquet Clubs service standards and attention to detail is second to none. Consistent from start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure to hold our wedding here.
I have worked with many hotels in a conferencing capacity for years and no one else has ever come close.

Great, friendly place. Would recommend to anyone.

April 2010 Wedding - "Fantastic wedding... Unbelievable service!!!!!"

We got married in April and had the reception (130 sit down full Wedding breakfast and hot buffet in the evening, with about another 50odd guests) at the Racquet Club and I could really not fault their service! As soon as we walked in we felt at home!

We live in Dublin, but I'm originally from the area, so we decided to get married in Liverpool, we planned the wedding in 6 months, and so I had little time when I was available in England to meet with either Matthew or Robert, but they made this as easy as possible for me, which I have to say a big thank-you to them for! They made myself and my husband feel very welcome and were quick to respond to requests, nothing was too big or too small and we were made to feel very special on our big day!

We got married in the throws of the volcano errupting and with the ash threatening to ruin our big day, due to flights leaving from Ireland being cancelled, the staff at the RC were unreal, and did everything to accomodate us (me being quite hysterical!!) , allowing us to update them at the last possible minute on numbers etc.

They dressed the room to perfection, the food was fantastic (the cauliflour and stilton soup is to die for...everyone wanted seconds) and they are really acommodating with the drinks available. We rented all the bedrooms for family and they were stunning... and everyone loved the moose's head!

It has a great feel to the place, fab location (we had some great pictures taken down by the docks, with Liverbirds in view and even by the Superlamb bananas) and everyone was really relaxed and that was down to the staffs total professionalism.

We would 100% recommend this hotel for anyone considering getting married, for a weekend away or even just a bite or a drink! A really supperb place!

20 Aug 2010 - "Amazing Wedding at the Racquet Club"

Well, there is really not enough I can say to sum up the amazing service and organisational skills provided by The Racquet Club staff in the run up to my wedding and on the day itself.The day was incredible, all the staff were just brilliant, very accommodating and catered for everyone's needs without hesitation.  I would thoroughly recommend this as a venue to anyone who is looking for a stylish and grand venue, incredible attention to detail & amazing service.

7 May 2010 - "A Great wedding venue"

With the help of Matthew we were able to have a wonderful wedding at the Racquet Club with just 3 weeks notice. they were accommodating to our every need - providing TV's for us to hook XBOX's up for the kids, adapting their menu to suit and offering helpful advice. On the day, the venue looked terrific and the service was faultless.

4 Apr 2010 - "Law Ball - Most fantastic venue, food, atmosphere and staff!"

What an amazing place. Fantastic venue for large functions and fantastic bedrooms. Once again our yearly law ball was held here and all guests thoroughly enjoyed it. The management can never do enough to help, it's great value for money and simply amazing quality. We literally, could not fault it. Thanks to all who helped make the event so fantastic!

24 Mar 2010 - "Great venue, made to feel very welcome"

The team did a wonderful job in providing a wonderful day last Friday 12th March at the Racquet Club.The service and attention we had that day for our daughters blessing, it was wonderful.
Lots of people have taken the time to contact us over the weekend to comment on the venue, food, service and professionalism of yourself and all your team. They had a wonderful time, for many this was the first visit to the Racquet Club. Its a mixture of contemporary and olde, it has a warm and relaxing atmosphere and a very pleasent bar area.
The reception staff, serving staff and bar staff were very attentive, polite and friendly I do hope our guests were the same! Every time I have dealings with anyone on the day and weeks before I always found them helpful.

Their attention in the pre planning, I found very professional, but approachable and nothing appeared to be too much trouble in assisting me, this made things so much easier. It certainly helped me to relax and enjoy the day fully, something I never totally expected.
We took over 5 of the 8 bedrooms, each one having their own character and all different.
The rooms are very clean and we loved the individuality of each. There were a cross section of guests in ages. The breakfast was plentiful and was a very relaxed affair with prompt service. My hubby and I have stayed over before for an anniversary treat , handy for city centre night life, food was excellent and we would do again  Again thank you all at the Racquet club and Rob I would certainly recommend you only one critismism please do something with bar Ziba sign outside - edged in pink it doesnt do credit to the place !
