Sue Clement-Evans - General Manager
Having worked my way through from Reception, to Duty Management and Sales Office Co-ordination, and then Deputy General Management, I joined the team at The Racquet Club Hotel from the beginning - before there were carpets and lights!
Dealing with most of the wedding enquiries I have been able to continue my passion of hosting and planning weddings for our guests. I enjoy the diversity of the events areas in the club, and whilst this is where my main passion is, heading the team of professional food and beverage staff, the daily challenges of running a city centre restaurant and Boutique Hotel gives me the passion to work in this industry.
The thing I enjoy most about working at the Racquet Club Hotel, is the diversity and challenges every day brings, the different events we host, and requirements of our customers makes every day different.
Robert Ferguson - Deputy General Manager
I joined the team after graduating from John Moores University with a BA Degree in Business and Information in 2007. During this time I have been working throughout the business, developing our systems and implementing standards.
Working within a relatively small team, I have a hands' on and leading by example approach. I am highly involved with the selling and running of corporate events and wedding receptions. I really look forward to seeing Weddings events through to completion, it is nice to be responsible for someone's special day, and I know that we have a great team in place to run the events.
I have also taken on a large marketing role for the company, which I truly enjoy and seek to continue.
I enjoy working at the Racquet Club Hotel, my diverse role enables me to continue to develop my skills, we have so many different areas to manage, and every day truly is a different challenge.
Andy Horne - Head Chef
Since starting out aged 16 as a kitchen porter at Arrowe Park Hospital, Andy has worked his way up the catering ladder, sharing kitchens with a number of high profile chefs such as Paul Heathcote, Andrew Nutter and Jason Atherton.
Donna Palmer - Trainee Assistant Manager
I am really excited to join the management team here at the Racquet Club Hotel. For the past year I have been the function supervisor. I look forward to further developing and progressing whilst doing the job at hand.
Youhann Raffo - Ziba Head Waiter
Working just lunch’s enables Youhann to be the face of Ziba Restaurant. Well known in the business community, many of our customers know Youhann, and come to see him as much as to come to dine in our restaurant Ziba. Youhann has worked at the club for 5 years and is a welcome face for all our guests. He is the "Mario" of the Restaurant Industry.
