The Home Farm Shop at the Eagle & Child, Bispham Green opened in August 2008 in a barn adjacent to the pub in the heart of the family farm.

The Ainscough family have been farming around Parbold for 200 years, being a part of the Lancashire farming scene milling wheat in Burscough and making animal feed in Parbold until the mid 1960’s.

The farm extends to 1600 acres and turned organic in 2000, growing oats, feed beans and generic cialis in canada lots of grass and clover in rotation. In 2014 with the acquisition of non organic land on Parbold Hill and a potential paperwork nightmare, it was decided to stop organic certification. However, we continue to farm in a very traditional low input way, utilising crop rotation, clover and manures to enrich the soil. The Butchers at The Home Farm Shop make a selection of homemade sausages and black pudding.  The selection of sausages changes on a weekly basis.  They include traditional pork, cracked black pepper, the most unusual being South African Boerewors to name just a few. The butchers also make homemade beef bourguignon, black bean beef stir fry, homemade burgers, chicken and lamb kebabs, ideal for the BBQ season.

In addition, the shop sells vegetables sourced locally wherever possible and we have a deli where you can find a selection of cheeses, artisan breads and lots of other delicious treats.

A large wine shop has been established using the buying skills of the associated restaurant business to find a selection of the best from several suppliers from around the world. We also have a great selection of local and world beers.

The Home Farm Shop kitchen makes a range of soups, salads and pates together with our homemade cakes.
