Real ales and fine wines at the Derby Arms, Witherslack

We are delighted to offer a comprehensive wine and drinks menu to compliment your meal at The Derby Arms.

Following are a selection of the fine wines we have selected, with a complete Wine List available to download here >

Cumbrian Legendary, Hawkshead - The Jolly Boys Bitter
Brewed specially for the pub. The beer remembers an old tradition enacted throughout much of Lancashire.

Thwaites Lancaster Bomber 4.4%
Chestnut in colour, Lancaster Bomber has a warming, full-flavoured taste, with a hint of toffee and biscuit and a very moreish flavour.

Thwaites Wainwright 4.1%

A refreshing straw-coloured beer with soft fruit flavours and a hint of sweetness from the fine malt. Utterly drinkable! Appeals to both men and woman

Coniston Brewery Bluebird Bitter 3.6%
A single carietal hop beer. A good session ale with its golden colour and light clean, quality taste. An inviting hoppy aroma giving way to a good dry finish.

Dent Brewery Bitter 3.7%
A clean tasting, light bitter with hints of grapefruit in the nose and more general fruitiness along with some hoppiness and malt in the taste. The finish is short.

Aviator Ale 4.0%
A chestnut coloured ale with a full and rounded hop flavour. A popular ‘session’ beer for the discerning palate. Malts are complex, but take second place to a hop ensemble that make this a very distinctive beer indeed.

Hawkshead Brewery Bitter 3.7%
A pale, hoppy, fruity and bitter session ale, with the distinctive aroma of Slovenian hops.

Hawkshead Brewery Red 4.2% (formerly called Best Bitter)
A Red Ale. Bitter-sweet. Malty and spicy, with a long dry finish, using Fuggles as the aroma hop.The red colour comes from Dark Crystal malt.
