The facilities at Longlands at Cartmel

The cottages have all been restored with their original stonework, timbers and traditional features retained, but with the addition of having full central heating and double glazing to ensure that they remain warm in winter.

They are all open plan downstairs with fitted kitchens designed so that everything you need for cooking is available - fridge, electric fan-assisted oven and grill, gas or electric hob and microwave oven. Cottages for more than two people also have dish washers.

All bedrooms are supplied with bed linen (electric blankets are available but rarely requested) and all bathrooms have bath, shower and towels provided.

Children of any age are welcome at Longlands, with cots, high chairs, fireguards and safety gates are all available without charge.

Arrangements have been made for our guests to use the nearby leisure facilities of the Grange Hotel Health Club without charge. These include a heated swimming pool, whirlpool bath and steam room and gym and are available all year round.

We welcome any pet by prior arrangement free of charge. With footpaths and good walks radiating from your door it's a good home from home for dogs.

There is ample car parking amongst the ancient oak and beech trees close to the cottages

In addition, we are always delighted to arrange for fresh local produce or fresh flowers to be in your cottage on arrival. Please indicate your requirements when arranging your stay at Longlands.

Full laundry facilities are available for guests to use.
